Alberta W. Curtis Minters, is a book that is composed of more
than 50 pages of inspirational poems. As noted in the Preface,
since words can be uplifting or discouraging, the author has
accepted the challenge of arranging them in such a way that they
will encourage and inspire. The underlying message throughout
the book is that God loves us and is concerned about every area
of our lives. Each poem serves to remind readers that He is
fully able to work all things out for our good. Bible verses are
also included with some of the poems and easily encourage
readers to find comfort in God’s Holy Word. |

 The book is divided into several sections, and they are listed below. Communicating With God: Prayer Since the author feels that communicating with God is a very necessary step in living for Him, the first section deals with prayer. One poem even makes reference to a person’s misunderstanding of the worth of prayer, and the writer’s experience with the effectiveness of prayer. Special Days and Holidays These poems are geared toward special days and holidays, including the New Year, Remembering Dr. King, Mother’s Day, Youth Day, Father’s Day, Graduation/Concerns For Youth, Back To School, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, but faith and trust in our Heavenly Father remains the underlying theme. The Problems of Life and Assurance of Deliverance It has been said that a person is either in a storm, headed for one, or just coming out of one…This section has been written especially for people who are in a storm…The author realizes that storms (distractions and problems) come in many forms, and we often need encouragement to hang on in there…to just keep trusting in the Lord, in the midst of it all, and has offered these words to provide such encouragement. Oh, To Be Led By God! Life’s Lessons Stand On his Word God Is Great! Something to Think About These sections deal with real-life daily experiences that challenge our faith. What’s God’s business?? What’s my business?? There is a difference! Does it really matter what we do in life?? These verses “call it like it is,” and serve to remind readers that God does have a plan for our lives. Readers are encouraged to consciously seek His will and then to WAIT on Him for direction and deliverance! |

church bulletin or newsletter, or that can be recited in any number of settings.
